Believe it or not, this is the Yellow River of China.
“When the Yellow River flows clear” in Chinese = “Hell freezes over” in English. She is literally the cradle of China, the second longest in the country and the sixth longest river on this planet, and the muddiest and the most sand discharged river in the world. This is part of the “South of Yellow River Tibetan Autonomous Region”, and a dam upstream stops the mud and creates this miracle. We had a bus ride along the gorgeous gorge for one hour, the view is this spectacular throughout the entire journey.
The river is shot near Jianzha, just below the Lijiaxia Dam in Qinghai, China.
